Time for annual oil change.

That is a nice small box of ammo.;)
The only problem I had was getting the oil from Walmart(cheapest price $56.00) I had to order it online for pickup in store. They kept showing the delivery as delayed. Finally picked it up this afternoon now the only hold up is getting my oil sample results back.

^^^^^. Shorter drain intervals are a good idea if you don’t drive the truck much.

Doesn't matter if it deteriorates or not. If you don't do it, your warranty is voided. I just did the 15K oil change and fuel filter service. The dealer quoted me $170.00 for the fuel service. I bought the filters myself on line, so they only charged me $50.00 to install. From what I understand, it's fairly easy to do yourself; I just can't personally do it. I also had a coupon from the dealer for $59.99 for the oil change, but I paid a little more cause I run 5/30 Valvoline full synthetic, and the coupon only paid for dealer dino oil, Mopar I believe. My truck is a 2014, so that tells you how little we drive it. But I'm also old school and change my oil every 3-4K miles starting from day one. I know a lot of people will say that's a waste of money, but it's not for me.

I always read these reports and they say going further would be OK.
IMO the annual oil change is a bit overrated. I change on miles only.

Learn to do it your self! I exceed the 6 mo sometimes but I do a Blackstone analysis every change, I run full 15k. Stick with FleetGuard, Mopar filters. I run AMZ/OIL 15-40 Signature series.

Certainly the oils of today are better/longer lasting, when compared to 10-20 years ago. I think the biggest reason for adding a 6 month time limit for changing, to the lengthy mileage change, is to allow for the short distance drives, that many do. Many short, stop and go drives, is similar to high mileage, when it comes to time to change.

I don't think you need to change oil every 6 months, on a late model vehicle, that is seldom driven, but is at least fully warmed up, when driven. In any case, I would not go much longer than a year.

IMO, not enough deterioration occurs in 6 months to justify changing the oil. Hey, dealers have to have some kind of regular income.

I was going to say a case of beer, but ammo is nice too
