We've rved since the late '50s. Agree one size do not fit all.
If we're going on a 3-4 day excursion to see places we've missed or a 1200-1400 mile trip to visit the kids/grandkids we drive the truck/car and stay in a motel. One hell of a lot quicker and much more relaxing finding a motel than searching for a campground.
Now if there is no time constraints and don't have to go from point A to B in a timely manner then we pull the rv.
I can think of a dozen reasons to pull the rv or stay in a campground. And some would be be just as silly as some of the replies.
