Coming back from myseasonal I stop at a old 60's motel that still has a outside entrance I was pleasantly surprised as the rooms had been updated painted, new beds, new carpet, new tv's and was still pet friendly. I have stopped at this same motel for years.
I must have better luck with hotels. I have never had beg bugs and have never found any drug or sex paraphernalia. And all the hotels I've stayed at have platform beds so nothing can get underneath.
If I have a trip that last for more then 2 or 3 days I usually take the RV, this is my preference for travel. Although the cost of fuel is significantly higher pulling the RV it is quickly offset by the cost of motels and having to eat out.
The cost of the RV is irrelevant because I already own it. If purchasing a RV for short term travel it would never make economic sense, especially if you factor in insurance and maintenance.
