Compressed air would probably be the cheapest route to take, since air is about 78% nitrogen they're very similar.

Typically your cigarette lighter versions will be fairly limited. I picked this one up from Harbor Freight a while ago for about $45 with a coupon. Comes with clips and a 25ft hose. It fills up tires pretty quickly. From flat (20psi) to 65psi, it takes somewhere around 3 minutes for me. It gets used frequently between vehicles and has held up well.

My current nitrogen cylinder measures 2.5’x6”-7” my original cylinder was slightly shorter. I didn’t document costs but I remember the original full cylinder being about $100 from NAPA Auto Parts. I carry a nitrogen tank with nitrogen compressed to 2,000psi. To air-up tires I use a pressure regulator to drop my line pressure to 100psi. It airs up tires in seconds and my last tank lasted over a year before I exchanged it for a full tank at a cost of $18. BTW if I need to use an air impact wrench it gives more than adequate pressure and volume for breaking frozen fasteners loose.

I tried using one of those pathetic little portable compressors and took it back after my first attempt at using it.

I have had a Viair 400p for over 10 yrs and use it all the time will put in 125lbs in short and never gets hot comes with everything you need for all tires no problem with reach well worth the price you will never need another one. I have nothing to do with company just my experience.

Not when running, but startup can be 3x more. I'd say 1000w inverter.

The compressor end looks to have standard air tool fittings (a quick connect even). Assuming that's the case, you can find similar hoses at various big box and similar stores and the usual online vendors--Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, Tractor Supply, Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, Amazon, etc. There's a good chance even Wal-Mart or K-Mart would have something somewhat similar.

You might have to get a hose and a tire chuck separately and assemble them yourself, though often there are also kits available with a hose and various connectors and doodads like tire chucks and blow guns and so forth.
