More likely you have the infamous poo pyramid.
Do you leave the black tank valve open all the time? If so, that's your problem.
It is posible the valve broke but if you can fish a snake up past it, it's obviously open.
The flush system is meant to be used on an empty, or near empty tank. DONT use it on a full, clogged tank.
