I doubt the snake is going up into tank at all
Tank dump valve is STILL CLOSED
Will need to access the actual vlave and open using some pliers/Vise grips to grab hold of valve stem
Course with HOLE cut into sewer hose where you insertd snake is gong to SPEW when you get valve to open.
*If tank vent was issue.......toilet would BURP allowing venting of tank
*If dump valve was open.......you would have some fluids coming out when playing around with snake
