You could find a sacrificial shop vac and work at it from the top. Dumping it will not be pleasant but you can reduce the amount of waste you will have to deal with if you have to remove the valve without being able to open it and dump the contents.
You may even be able to relieve the pressure enough that you would be able to open the valve.
