I tow 8000 lbs while carrying 4000 lbs. The lower StableLoads will firm up your suspension and reduce sway and front to rear porpoising. If you are trying to address rear sag, these will give you about 2" of lift when your truck is loaded verses without them.
I experimented with blocks of pressure treated lumber prior to buying my StableLoads. I liked how they felt when loaded but saw the need for the quick disconnect because ride quality suffers when empty while having the lower spring engaged. If the block experiment does not work for your application, you will be out very little time and money. If it works well, these StabkeLoads will be worth the cost.
