The odds say you are worried about the wrong thing..........by a LOT!
WOW, just wow. What horrible and the most unsafe advice I have ever heard of. The loss of just one life in any situation is one too many. Especially when you can take precautions to avoid it. :R:R
It's not advice, it's fact. Tornado FACTS If one life is too much why are you on the road because over 30,000 people are killed every year on the roads of the US. Compare that to 60 or so deaths every year from tornado's. Gamble much?
Tornado: Been there done that 2 homes damaged AND on the road in my RV AND in a CG. Bad enough to lift my 31 foot right off the ground and slam it back down. Had to get a tow truck to lift it up again to get all the CG stuff that flew under it to be able to move it.
Sorry for your experience. You're one of few and your still here to tell about it. You didn't say how over how many years this happened but it's a safe bet that over those years millions have died on the road and only hundreds have died from tornado's in the same time period. Gamble much?
Tornadoes are a VERY VERY life threatening serious situation.
And so are bees and wasps. :S And they kill about the same amount of people in the US every year. Do you give the same advice about them as you do about tornado's? Do you put on a bee suit when out and about? Remember, you have about the same odds of being killed by bees and losing one life it too many according to you.
Yes just driving down the road on a sunny day an idiot can hit and kill you.
BUT, BIG BUT 'knowing' and 'being aware' of WHERE a tornado is and 'AVOIDING' it is just plain common, life saving sense.
Very good advice. It's always good to be aware
Be aware, and be prepared to take the best cover you can to avoid a tornado period.
Good advice. It's always good to be prepared and avoid a tornado.
OP, look up the stat's for yourself. It's all readily available online. Again, this chart is very graphic way to show what your are dealing with.
:S What ARE you smoking?
Rambling on about statistics of how many people are killed by what has NOTHING, NOTHING to do with a PREDICTED, and/or WARNING OF IMPENDING DANGER broadcast over National airwaves to PREVENT a danger to peoples. I.E. Therefore the danger CAN be AVOIDED.
Has nothing to do with hap instance stats of what in nature can kill people.
Sorry bud they don't have sirens for a bee swarm they DO for a pending tornado. :B
But then again you are probably one of those that when a hurricane warning comes out ""5 days in advance"" for evacuation....you stay and then put our EMT's in danger when they have to come in and rescue your sorry arse. :R
It's called preparedness and PREVENTION, look it up!
