And for those who will point out that you are required to show proof of insurance, you are correct.
However, you do not have to show it at the scene of the accident. If the cops write a no proof of ins ticket, it will be dropped as soon as you show the court your proof dated prior to the "infraction." The court doesn't care about the incedent that lead to the infraction ther for your info is still not part of the claim.
This may vary by State but in MN there are regulations about sharing insurance information and also laws about carrying proof of insurance. Besides that, any tickets written will not disappear from LE records but remain.
Ummm, not if you're not convicted of it. Idk if it's MN or MS, get a traffic citation and subsequently get it dismissed, it will have no detrimental affect on your license/points, whatever.
Go ahead and make your top tier insurance public information in a multi vehicle accident where a bunch of peeps don't have insurance and see how it gets blown up.
Wake up, I know the law says must show at time of incident or whatever. Just trying to save y'all from some problems and expenses.
You're not going to federal prison for not showing your insurance at the scene. Won't even get arrested.
