Yep, it's what you like.
Not too far back a couple from the Middle East bought a rig and toured somewhat as you want to do.
They took about 5 summers (ah May through Octoberish) to visit around Canada. They ask about each section a winter ahead of time. & each fall, they had found a place to park their rig for the winter.
So, by the time they started out they had asked here and they had requested info on the next section of the country. That way, they were able to go into each section of the country in fair detail, much more detail than many of us can afford.
Biggest thing I would suggest is get each visitors guide and provincial map from each province. Go to:
www.google.ca and use "name of province & tourism" to get those provincial websites.
