Washington DC - free museums and history
San Diego - wonderful weather year round
Saint Louis - lots of stuff to do
Las Vegas - have to visit at least once
2. forests
Ocala in Florida - beautiful springs, good place for winter
Gila in New Mexico - lots of good boondocking
San Juan in Colorado - gorgeous scenery and good boondocking
3. lakes
Crater Lake
Lake Mead
Lake Powell
4. national parks
Yellowstone
Yosemite
Olympic
5. rivers
kind of depends on what you want to do - white water rafting, kayaking, fishing?
6. desert
Quartzsite - have to visit at least once
Death Valley
Really anywhere that you travel will have interesting things to do and see. All national parks are worth visit. Most big cities have something that makes them unique. As other people have suggested do a little research into what you like to do and you'll find all kinds of places to visit. Have a good trip!
