Tow Dolly

We picked up a Roadmaster dolly used 2 years ago and have been very happy with it. Check the local papers and tv/radio station sites for personal sales, or you could try craigslist. Lots of used ones out there, find the one you like at a price you think is fair. Another item, not all states (i.e. Utah) require plating a dolly. UT's rule is a trailer less than 500 lbs does not require any plate. Check your home states laws on towing and plating.

I really liked the American Car Dolly but they couldn't get me one made before I needed it but they will deliver it right to your door included in the price! I ended up trading a tow bar and brake for a Stehl dolly and modified it by cutting off the ramps and locking the tilt in place. They bought removeable aluminum ramps that cured the nose of the car hitting on the dolly while pulling it up.

I have a KarKaddy SS I found used at one of the local RV dealers in town after looking online and at trailer suppliers.

I would check with the dealer you are picking up the RV from to see if they have a line on one. even if they don't have one for sale, they may know of a customer that has one they want to get rid of.

No. It is a ten inch wheel with a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. The most common GM bolt pattern. The tire itself is 8.5 inches wide, 21 inches tall. It is a true trailer trailer . A 10 Ply Bias ply tire rated for 1650 lbs and holds 90 PSI. Bias ply tires are the only way to get to this high load rating. Bias ply tires are common on trailers and actually cost more than radial tires. They have very little to no flex in the side walls".

We are using Ezetow and are very happy with it. It is a totally welded construction (no bolts). The Tires are high speed and inflate to 90psi and are first class and are not cheap trailer tire. We highly recommend it.

Shame you're not closer, I'm looking to get rid of one.

I used a Stehl Tow Dolly for 3 years until I bought a car that can be towed 4 down. Basic, but utilitarian.

I've found a few used Demco Kar Kaddy SS for $1800 but they're 10+ years old or I can buy a new American/Eze car dolly for $1500'ish.

What do you guys think?
