  • thanks for all the good information. i just ordered the cooltech and i well let you know how the install goes.
  • My installer simply added LED lights in each of my taillights, so I have a redundant system. No cutting into toad wiring harness. Umbilical cord from the coach runs stop/tail/turn, etc. Since I tow a Suby, brake lights activate even with ignition off, so still get 3rd brake light and "regular" brake lights, in addition to LEDs when pedal is depressed (happen to use Ready Brake Elite). • Spend the money to do it as easy and cleanly as possible. i ran wiring back to the rear lights on my 08 JK and did all the diodes etc. myself which was a fun project but knowing now that a harness was available to plug and play i would have gone that route. I think we all have seen our fair share of pieced together lighting taped to the toad or flapping in the wind beating the paint off and I wonder: You spent how much on your coach and went cheap on the lights,,geezz
  • We used the Mopar wiring harness specifically made to set up a jeep as a toad without cutting the wiring. I've also read great things about the Cooltech kit mentioned above. Both make for a very clean reliable installation
  • Trailer HereHas two, one is plug and play with no splicing of wirer, the other is cheaper but you need to cut the wires in the jeep. They both use diode to isolate the power supply.
  • What year jeep? I used the lights in the toad and some diodes, I think there is a kit that has the diodes in it.
