- luvlabsExplorerYes, you can tow a 2013 Fit automatic. Just follow the instructions in your manual. The subject header is Recreational Towing, not Emergency Towing.
- tumbleweed1951ExplorerI have a 2013 automatic Honda Fit and I have been told I can tow this car four down. I hope I am receiving good advice.

I pulled up the manual on the 2015 Honda Fit from Honda's website. The CVT automatic can't be towed with any wheels on the ground.
The ironic thing is that older Fits can be towed four down, no problem. Newer ones, no way, no how.
Manual transmission Fits (any year) can be towed 4-down.
The poster above is incorrect in assuming that the CVT transmission model can't be towed with the rear wheels on the ground. The manual, under emergency towing, states that it can. There is a caution on recreational towing but that was corrected later with a statement from Honda. There is absolutely no reason a CVT transmission Fit can't be towed on a tow dolly as the Fit is a FWD not AWD car. Getting a Fit on a dolly might be a whole different issue.
We have a 2012 Fit automatic that tows just fine 4-down. But Honda needed to improve fleet fuel mileage and so the CVT transmission was used. - luvlabsExplorer

I don't see any reason why a two wheel dolly would fail to work for the Fit; it's a front wheel drive car, and practically universally front wheel drive vehicles can be towed just fine with a dolly. The rear wheels are just freewheeling along for the ride with the parking brake disengaged. The only difficulty might be if the dolly requires greater ground clearance in the front than is available; the Fit has a comparatively long low snout.
DW owns a 2008 Honda Fit. When we moved to TX from IL, we were not able to put it on a two-wheel dolly as there was not enough clearance on the bottom (too short of a wheel base, too little ground clearance). Now, caveat that to say we only had Uhaul equipment to work with and you may be able to find a different dolly which could work. You may just have look around and make sure you verify it does work before you buy. - ronfishermanModeratorMoved from Class C.

While they don't mention dollies in the recreational towing section of the manual, it does say that it's okay to use a wheel lift tow under the emergency tow section of the manual. - mlts22Explorer III pulled up the manual on the 2015 Honda Fit from Honda's website. They can also be towed on or inside a trailer.
