first mistake is believing the numbers are Real..

truck numbers are inflated.
trailer numbers are underinflated.

you should be using a 2500 already.

fyi, my trailer has 2 weight tags. both say 7,500 pounds dry/empty..
my trailer is scaled at 8,300 empty and dry.

I have a 2012 F 250 and a 30 foot travel trailer.
