Your twitchy handling is probably in part due to the junk tires. The original tires on our F150 were nothing but big passenger tires with 2 ply sidewalls. Its called ride quality not real world towing. My little 25' Outback, had me all over the place even with equalizer hitch and anti-sway. Put 10 ply Hankook tires on the truck when the OEM tires gave it up. Doesn't drive like the same truck and TT. Rock solid and straight down the road.
