Towing doubles is two trailers.
Towing three trailers is triple towing.
There is a huge difference.
Best to get your facts straight before making a rookie mistake and use the term "am I legal to tow triples" when asking a size and weights officer the legal question.
The officer will say its not legal to tow triples. If stopped one trailer will have to be left behind.
This happens at times in my state in the summer months with all the COE lakes. Some pull a 5th wheel trailer/a ski boat trailer/a trailer with PWCs and get caught.
Some have left the 5th wheel trailer in a WM parking lot...then return and pull it to their camp spot.
Ask the right question to get right answer for your two or three trailer towing combination.
