Towing Ford Fiesta

Presently we tow a Chevy Sonic behind a 30 ft. Class C and it's great although the 4 in. drop hitch I have to use drags easily. I'm thinking of a Ford Fiesta(hatchback non-turbo). Looks fun to drive, even a little lighter. How is the height of the tow bar(Blue Ox) receivers sticking out the front? Is disconnecting the battery much of a problem? Other considerations? Thanks
  • M/T just hitch up an go. Only the A/T requires a battery disconnect. I'd certainly consider adding a mechanical disconnect (even a simple blade style) since the battery leads don't have much extra length, so it could accidentally make contact while driving.

The Fiesta is super fun! We bought 2! Although 1 has since been totaled, so it was replaced with a Focus ST.
  • Towed 2014 Fiesta manual tranny for about 30,000 miles with no problems. Engine off, brake off and go. Fun to drive and great gas mileage.
  • Go to the blue ox web site and it will tell you the height of the hitch in the installation instructions.
