I was wondering how many tow with there refrigerators running on propane?
we've been doing it since we started this RV thing back in 1986. not dead yet.
I witnessed a gas explosion in a RV a few weeks back, it blew the roof up, windows and slide out. Pretty impressive. It started giving me second thoughts about leaving any gas on... - W4RLRExplorerI leave the propane on all of the time and keep my food cold. That is why there is an LP mode on the refrigerator in the first place. I don't worry about it during refueling, either. I refuel at diesel pumps, no gasoline fumes to catch a flame and blow up.

- ScottGNomadHave towed with it on for nearly 30 years - that's what they're made to do.
- Community AlumniHave had several RV's over the years and always drove or towed with the fridge on. They are designed to do so.
- riven1950ExplorerWe do but we cut it off before fueling, then back on after. Just takes a minute, better than risking a fire / boom. This is based on advice from some nice folks on this forum.
