We recently had an experience where a racoon ruined our trailer canopy, and our insurance carrier will only cover the replacement at a pro rated amount which is next to nothing. I would like to get an insurance policy that covers items like the refrigerator, furnace, canopy, etc at full replacement value in case of an accident, (naturally not from wearing out).Can any one recommend a carrier where you have had a positive experience, and roughly the annual cost for such a policy ?jack L

What kind of policy do you have? I have coverage through my auto insurance company. I may be susceptible to deductibles, but pro rating replacement sounds more like a homeowners policy.

I also found this to be the case with my former auto policy..... True of alot of them I found out...... I played hard ball with them so they offered a 3rd party adjuster who agreed with me fortunately I ended up with 80% as opposed to the 40% that they offered........

I'm sure most of us know that adjusters are not our friend. If they are company employee adjusters or for hire adjusters, it makes no difference. They have one thing on their mind and that is to get you to agree to the least amount possible.Hold their feet to the fire and never accept their first offer. It is all negotiable.
