Tree sap

Can anyone tell me what detergent or cleaner is best for removing tree sap from roof and upper side walls?
  • After sitting under the pines at Custer last week I'll need to tackle some pine sap too. Really hoping it comes off easy.
  • in a previous thread tree sap removal was discussed for trucks. I found goof off worked the best.
    bumpy
  • I have found that WD-40 does some amazing things for cleaning gooie stuff. You might give it a shot (literally)!

Goo Gone (http://googone.com/) is also pretty good on stuff too.

But on the roof, I'd just forget it.
  • Really depends upon what sap.. Maple should wash right off, Spring Cotton wood seems to be a cross between super glue and iodine. turpentine will get most of the stuff off.
