Truck drivers deserve much more respect than they get. They are away from their families to deliver everything you buy. Without them, your store shelves would be empty. They get paid based on mileage that doesn't count the hours they sit waiting to deliver or pick up a load and many people treat then poorly not understanding that they lose money every time they are caught in traffic, waiting at a pump for a parked rv to move out of the way and then when it's time to rest there are no spots left at the truck stop because they are filled, so he sits someplace with no services, he missed getting a shower and hot meal or being able to get his laundry done or walk to the nearby store to purchase groceries and supplies For what they do, they really do not make much money and we all should be thanking them.
