Tucson Camping World

Had to take our Motorhome in for warranty work ( our toilet wouldn't hold water) can't say enough about how friendly, helpful and professional the people there were. Especially Kim, who set up our appointment, Doug Deets, the service advisor we dealt with when we arrived, and Jim, the tech that repaired our toilet. We would not hesitate to take our rig there again when in the Tucson area.

  • Well, I will have to say I am extremely disappointed. I STILL have not gotten any definitive info as to repairs, warranty or timetable. And Doug Deets never looked at the unit to see what I was telling him so they had a few things wrong about what needed to get done. Got that squared away and as of now - 10/27 and 4:45pm I have no idea what they are doing, plan to do, warranty issues and time frame. And they were supposed to fax me an estimate on some light body work on the side. Never got that. And been in their hands since 10/8.
  • Kim is very special and has really taken care of me. And I love the whole staff there; well, almost.

Here is what I am working thru right now. On Oct 8th I was to bring the 5th wheel in to Kim who knew we were coming in for new a/c unit and some other things which I would let her know about.

I was there on October 8th. Kim was out sick. So this other service adviser (name withheld on purpose) was to take care of me. He spent most of my time with him eating lunch and going in and out to check on things and leaving me sitting there that it took 5 times longer to get things settled.

Today is October 18th 3:15pm) and, even with repeated phone messages to them, and emails to them, and promises to hear back I have not heard a word as to what is going on.

I got a message from dear Kim this morning that she has now officially taken over my situation and will get back to me. And I think she will. Much of mine is GS Ext Warr so she will not be able to do anything until Monday probably.

I will not see any other service adviser there but, overall, am very pleased with the facility based both on past service experience and retail.

It is VERY hard finding good service work here in Tucson.

I'm sure they could use some relief from the myriad complaints they receive.
Since his name was mentioned here he will likely see this thread.
  • Post your review on www.rvservicereviews.com. I agree with the other posters, there's so many complaints about CW, nice to hear of good service from them
  • Good to hear. Maybe they should send some of these folks out to fix some of the other locations. Sounds like they have a good staff.

  • Kim has taken good care of us also. It's just absurd, however, that it takes months to get parts for our rv's in today's age of UPS and FedEx.
  • great to here a positive review for a change, CW really takes a beating on here.
