Two found dead in RV at talladega

Two Florida men were found dead in a trailer Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama, prior to the NASCAR Sprint Cup GEICO 500.

One of the stories stated that carbon monoxide was not believed to have played a role.
So let's just wait to see what happened

  • i have no idea what happen too them
BUT if it isn't CO1, and there is NO signs of violence
    it sure narrows the possibles
i mean both dying of congenital heart failure seems to be a stretch of imagination

I just responded to the miss-statement calling HH meth
  • Wow, haven't even seen a follow up on an autopsy and some folks have them cooking meth and pill shopping. Jump to conclusions much?

Will be interesting to find out the cause.. Carbon monoxide is fairly easy to "Diagnose" as a cause of death. Since they say "Not suspected" I would tend to believe it's not the cause. (Though it takes a while to certify it as a cause of death, it takes like 1`second to put it high on the list. or eliminate it from what I understand).
People who die from CO poisoning are usually bright pink when found. That's the giveaway.

Really sad to hear. We camp at a lot of tracks and so I'm anxious to hear what happened.
  • Unfortunately it seems to be a yearly trend to find someone has died at one of the campgrounds at Talladega. Last year someone drowned, prior to that carbon monoxide death, flag pole into power line death before that.
My wife and I were commenting Sunday morning when we were heading away from the track, we live a couple of miles behind it, that no one had died at this year's race. Thought it was going to be good start to the first race then we heard about the deaths that evening.
Lincoln PD had not released any details and bodies have been sent for autopsies. Sounds like carbon monoxide poisoning and foul play has been ruled out.
    Stay safe race fans.
  • My buddy and his wife were there in their 5th wheel. They always stop on their way up from FL.
