Unbelieveable guess what I saw
Hi I know there's a lot of talk on double towing and such tonight I saw a truck pulling a good size 5th wheel and behind the 5th wheel was a tow dolly and a small car!!!!! Sorry no time for a picture ...

You must never have been on I 80 because they tow triples, 3 28 ft + tractor and dollies = over 70 ft from NYC to Chicago except for a 40 mile stretch in PA. If he was only 60 ft he' legal. IL LAW (3) A truck tractor semitrailer may draw one vehicle

RoyB, Not sure what you mean but Yellow and Roadway amongst others haul doubles with a tow dolly which is a single axle dolly with a 5th wheel and a short drawbar with pintle hitch, and in CA they havea truck mounted dump and a dolly with a long drawbar and dolly with another trailer. Canadians are allowed a tractor trailer combination with 3 axles on the front trailer and a fith wheel mounted over the rear 2 axles pulling another trailer the same size.
Most states have a 65 ft length law, some are 70 and some longer. Montana for 1 is 137.8, MI UT and NV are 129 ft. The main thing is GCVWR.
