uncomfortable couch help

I have tried to put pillows behind me but they just pushout from behind me trust me its just uncomfortable all the way around and on those cold rainy days that you are forced inside its maddening..I have seen another person custom build a new couch and I hope we can explore that option. Thanks

It almost seems silly to ask, but can you put a pillow or cushion against the back to make it less deep? The height may be less of a problem if you aren't so far back, since your legs would be at a different angle and probably would reach the floor more comfortably. Or, as ependydad suggested, an ottoman or footrest would also help take care of that.

You could possibly talk to a carpenter and have something new made. I know I saw pictures either here on the Forest River Forums from someone who did similar.

The other option - our couch was pretty uncomfortable until we added ottomans. I never would have believed that they could make such a difference, but they really do. We got the fold-up/collapsible ones from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Maybe they'll help.

we removed our couch and replaced with 2 light weight recliners. We did not need it for sleeping.

Had a similar situation with our first TT, our Dutchmen. Jack-knife couch on the front end-cap with a pass-through under it. No way to change it out without major changes to the camper. With the "master" corner bed and having to crawl over each other all the time, .... that ... and the couch, we got a new camper!
