uow much solar polar?

I woukd appreciate dome guidance with a desire of mine to be able to run my fridge when my fifth wheel is stored. I have 1 12 volt battery. The fridge will run on propane but I know I need battery power too... so, what kind of temporary/portable solar kit do I need?

Thanks in advance
Ben
  • Hi,

As long as you are going to add solar it make sense to add enough to allow the system to equalize the battery bank. That means at least 60 watts per 100 amp-hours of storage.

100 Watts would be more than enough for that kind of usage. Here's a starter kit from Amazon that should have everything you need:

I put this same system on my truck camper. Works good and easy install.
