Just got the call from my favorite campground that our application for seasonal camping was drawn (It's a lottery due to popularity).I was a little dismayed this year that the rates were increasing from $1500 to $1900 for the season, but my desire to be using the trailer I'm paying for far outweighs paying for it and leaving it in storage.I'm getting really excited as a few very good friends were also drawn this year, and the kids are getting to the age where they can have some freedom around the park. Well, the two older ones can (8 and 5), the baby (just over 1 right now) will have to hang out with us.This will be our second year in the Zinger ZT33BH, and I am really hoping we don't have near the trouble this year that we had last. It's been with our dealer since last fall so they could figure out all the issues and get us back up and running with everything like it should be this year. I knew there'd be issues, as all new trailers have a bit of a personality to contend with, but this thing was off the charts. Luckily we have an absolutely fantastic dealer that's been taking very good care of us.I'm also looking forward to taking my Heli-Max 1Si quad copter out and getting some aerial photos of the camp site and trailer. I'll be sure to post them once I've done so.

I can't stay in one place. All 2014 reservations made through New Years.

Seasonal camping in a great campground with wonderful neighbors is awesome for me given that I can camp 100+ nights while holding down a full-time job that requires my presence. Make sure you understand the rules about decks and sheds and outside stuff.

We're happy our seasonal fee is holding steady at $1,900. No decks or sheds for us. We're at a county park that doesn't allow anything more permanent than a small woodpile, and our camper has to be moved by October. Okay by us as we blend in with everyone else.Like you we have full time jobs and the DH has limited vacation time. Neither of us has a burning desire to see the country...yet. So seasonal camping is a perfect fit for our lifestyle.Have fun making some awesome family memories!

All that sounds very good, but since the OP is from Canada, I wonder if anything you posted is applicable! For one thing, there are no "State regulations" in Canada since there are nor states!

This is in a provincial park, and our third season in a row (We've been really lucky) so we know the rules quite well. We're allowed a screen tent for eating (since the bugs can be pretty brutal at certain times) and one additional tent for sleeping or storage. I think there's a rule about decks or patios, but we just use a plastic pallet at the entry and a large mat. Seems to work for us.

That's just it. I'm only 35, my wife is 33 and the kids are still young. The best part of this CG is it is literally a 20 minute drive back to the city we live in. I can commute to work, they can relax at the campground, and everyone has a great time.

The fact that it's only a 20 minute drive does make it a busier than usual place, especially when the weather is cooperating, but generally people are good. I also keep in mind that I was a teenager once too, and a certain amount of goofing around is fine.

The only downside is the yard back in the city gets a little neglected all summer.

I told my wife that once the kids are grown in to doctors and lawyers and make enough money to support us (guy can dream right?) that we'd buy a big motorhome and travel the country.

Right now I'm happy staying put.

I am very lucky to get my seasonal site as well, there is a list of people waiting for one. As for having to stay in one spot I have another TT that I can use for trips. There is no rule I have to only go to my seasonal site.
