Use WD setup with 3/4 ton?

No you do not need a WD for that trailer with the new truck. BUT, what I have noticed with nothing..... the trailer rocks more side to side without, vs less with a basic WD system, even less with a dual cam.

As far as sway goes. Every trailer I have owned that did a true fishtail sway, was loaded incorrectly. Hence why I and a few others will make sure a trailer will tow straight behind a given truck without bars, then add the bars as an additional safety item. I personally will not depend upon bars to control a trailer that wants to sway with out them. To me, this is a lot like using a bandaid when I need a tourniquet to stop the bleeding!

I can get all of my axle weights on my trucks and trailers after hours or on sundays when no one is working.

+1. Because of the teeter totter affect, a 600lb tongue weight becomes a lot more when the trailer shifts while stopping, hitting a bump, going downhill, etc. Better off with a WDH.

When it comes to bumps, potholes, and dips, my F-250 clearly rides better with WDH. I don't need it for some of the trailers I tow, but it rides a lot better.

You clearly don't understand the reasons and math behind the need, or not need, for a WD hitch. The primary reason for WD is to put weight back on the front wheels to regain steering control. In the case of a 2500 series truck the tongue weight from a trailer the size of the OP it's very unlikely it would take enough weight off the front to make any difference.

Sway control? That's different. Some folks will say "I have a big truck and have towed 30ft trailers for a million miles and never needed sway control". Maybe. Sway control is like insurance. You can drive a million miles and never make a claim. Do you decide you don't need insurance because you've never had an accident? One day that teen age girl who's texting rear ends your sedan and totals it out. Her insurance isn't adequate to cover the damages. You decided you didn't insurance. What now?

Sway control is like that, you don't need it until you need it. And compared to what you spend on everything else, sway control costs almost nothing.

I really don't think it can be put any better than this. Read and heed, you don't get to choose if, and/or when a sway event will come calling. Best to have the insurance.

My son had a pole trailer sway his F-350 dually crew cab long bed across 3 lanes on an interstate, and he thought that he had it loaded tongue heavy. Now, he uses WD and friction sway control on his 4800 lb. camper behind the same truck. WD puts weight back on the front axle for best steering whether or not you need it because of tail end droop.

I think I will follow the crowd and use the WD setup on lengthy trips. For shorter distances I will consider going without the WDH and see how it handles.

Since the hitch is factory there was nothing stamped on it, kind of annoying since the hitch on the Suburban was aftermarket and had all the info I needed just right there. There was a sticker facing toward the center of the truck indicating this hitch is Class V. It does have a 2 1/2 inch receiver.

Try it with and without on a short trip or a few miles on the interstate with big rigs passing you.
Then you will know for sure.

I totally agree. Just because my truck can handle the trailer without WDH doesn't mean I will drive without just for the sake of the integrated sway control. After driving through heavy cross winds you come to appreciate your rig tracking straight with little to no electronic intervention.
