Used RV pricing advice

Hi All,

My wife and I have decided it is time to transition from the RV life to a home in a resort in FL.

So far I've found RVT.com, RVTrader.com and NADA with price information. Some units are being sold private, and some by dealers.

There seems to be other sites, but none I could find that had the inventory close to what I need to compare.

Does anyone know of any other resources a seller can go to help decide on a fair and reasonable asking price?

TIA

Jim

Low ball offers are the start of the negotiation process.
When you go to buy something and it's on sale, do you insist on paying full price rather than the sale price? :)

Why wouldn't you low ball a price? You can always go up, you can never go down. I don't care who or what I'm dealing on, my first offer is going to be a low ball; real low.
  • Be prepared for the low ballers. My MIL has been trying to sell her Class A MH for several months, and it is priced similar to other units in other private seller ads. However, these jerks keep trying to low ball her by $10-20K. I cannot believe people really think she would do that??
  • I'd check Craigslist locally to see what other owners of similar units are asking. Watch the ads for a bit to see which are renewing every 7 days and which ads disappear. That identifies a lot of your competition.
