My son was just here Monday, to go hunting with me. He drove a long ways to do this, and I don't see him very often. Anyway, I told him, we'll take my truck, as the country land owners are suspicious of trucks from other areas. He said "That's no problem, my license just says VETERAN, not where I'm from". We did take mine, but what person would not welcome a veteran licensed vehicle to their area?
He went on to say there are many benefits available to veterans, even park and camping related. He gets in free at NPs, I think he said 1/2 at SP, which includes 1/2 price camping, or cabin rental. He volunteers at a metro VA hospital, to help vets less fortunate.
I'm proud of him, could go on forever about his military career. Our hunt went really well, but he wanted to be home with his family for V-day.
