Pulling a big 5th wheel thru Alabama stopped at Loves where there is not much room. Pulled around waiting on a Class A to finish fueling. I guess you were getting gasoline rather than diesel.
The diesel truck pumps are a lot easier as I've rarely seen anyone just sit at the pumps (99 percent are truckers). They normally always pull up so the next person can get started.
For those who have diesel pick-up's, I would go to the truck section as the diesel pump fill at one gallon every 4-5 seconds. We have a 230 gallon tank and if I'm low, I'll fill on both sides using the satellite pump making it much faster. And, you can buy DEF right at the pump if your DEF fuel fill is on that side which is cheaper at the pump vs. buying by the jug.
Gasoline trucks are at the mercy of the regular people who don't understand size maneuvers. :M
