So instead of simply explaining that for some reason the pump is running especially slow you give an answer that is designed to pi$$ him off and think you are not being an A$$?
"I suppose when I get done washing ALL my windows.... including the trailer!"... Oh boy, was he pi$$ed! He turned around and went back to his car. He then zoomed around and pulled into another pump.

I guess you were getting gasoline rather than diesel.
The diesel truck pumps are a lot easier as I've rarely seen anyone just sit at the pumps (99 percent are truckers). They normally always pull up so the next person can get started.
For those who have diesel pick-up's, I would go to the truck section as the diesel pump fill at one gallon every 4-5 seconds. We have a 230 gallon tank and if I'm low, I'll fill on both sides using the satellite pump making it much faster. And, you can buy DEF right at the pump if your DEF fuel fill is on that side which is cheaper at the pump vs. buying by the jug.
Gasoline trucks are at the mercy of the regular people who don't understand size maneuvers. :M

Not when he was standing right beside the pump and saw it still running too and barking at me. - RandACampinExplorer II

Where are these PROPER PROCEEDURES written down? What are they? - captnjackExplorer

If I understand your comment, you are not inline behind the Class A. If so, how would he know someone is waiting to fuel.
That said, It was rude of him not to leave.
I have been in line to fuel when I think the RV in front is taking to long to move after fueling and have walked to to see what's the matter. I don't hesitate to inquire as to why not move ahead.
Had someone do this to me once last Summer. We'd been on the road for a couple hours, needed a good break. I'm pumping fuel (diesel), the pump is running slow. Sometimes they run real slow! And 35 - 37 gallons takes time.
So, as it's pumping, I'm washing the windshield of the truck. I did the passenger side first. My truck, I literally have to crawl on the hood to reach the middle. By now, the guy behind me is getting a bit "anxious." I get the passenger side done, and now reaching to do the drivers side. I just get done with the windshield (mind you, the pump is STILL running) ....
The guy behind walks up to me and get's a little vocal and asks, "How much longer are you going to be!" I looked at him for a moment, looked at the pump and saw it was STILL filling, thought for a moment, and in a real ... real ... real... serious tone of voice said .... "I suppose when I get done washing ALL my windows.... including the trailer!"... Oh boy, was he pi$$ed! He turned around and went back to his car. He then zoomed around and pulled into another pump.

But that's exactly what you DID become!
Why not just point out that you were actually fueling while cleaning? - Tom_BarbExplorer

Yes.. Rude people are every where. - MrWizardModeratorI'm in and out as fast as possible
But blame the "piddilin around" on the oil companies and gas stations operators
Who turned every gas station into kiwki mart mini truck stop
With all kinds of drinks and snacks
And unlike truck stops, there is little to no extra parking spaces at most gas stations
So there is no place to move your or truck away from the pump - ken56ExplorerHappened to me one time at the regular gas pumps. I NEEDED to get gas or I would have moved on to another station. Unfortunately gas stations don't care about RVers needs to maneuver their rigs and I rarely find a station with the pumps parallel to the building or even a dedicated RV pump away from the main ones so they kind of create the issue themselves.
Like others have said, I maneuvered to pull into an end pump where someone was just finishing up. They went inside to the fast food restaurant and I watched them sit down inside and start eating. I had left a gap to let cars go by in front of me to get out of the parking lot but after waiting about 5 minutes I pulled forward and blocked off the entrance/exit on that side...now people had to go around to the far side of the station to the only other driveway in and out......soon the attendant came out and asked if I would move out of the way so I just told her to go find the guy inside eating lunch who owns the car blocking the pump I need and I will be happy to move FORWARD. The guy showed up shortly after that and got to the back of his car and turned and glared at me....I waved and smiled at him while he just stood there for a minute glaring at me. I just stared back at him and he finally got in his car and left. - DryCreekExplorer

Actually, I think that the symbol you inserted acted as a form of html (opening command) and blocked the rest of your statement from appearing.
In fact, the command seems to be looking for a "close operand". It has encased my reply in the quoted post. Weird.
