Campgrounds/RV parks, usually are a safer place to sleep. :)

When I'm in travel mode I usually stop the night before reaching my destination. There is no reason to go out of my way to find a camp ground to give my money to. The walmart stop is for provisions. If late I'll spend the night get a good nights sleep and head out in the morning.
My RV experience is usually boondocking so your view and mine are different of what the RV life is.
Staying in a campground is not my thing. Has nothing to do with Money. I want to step out of my TC Hop in the Rhino and begin my trail ride into our various NF's.
If your more comfortable pulling into your Black top campsite/parking spot with 50 amp service and putting out your 3 slides and slipping out of your fire suit I'm ok with that. ;)
