Go to a Lake? Here is my near by lake. Down about 300 ft so far. I can't think of a lake or river where we can draw up some water.
Your picture might have some validity if it weren't for the bridge crossing some 40 or 50 feet above the water and all the clearly established roadways. 300'...? Maybe a long long LOOOOOONNNGG time ago.
You people in California have it rough. I won't resort to name calling, but I just can't fathom having to live there in such oppression (compared to the rest of the country). The illegal immigrant issue is another story, but we won't go there.
Then you read a story like this:
LA Leaders Wash Car 2-3 Times Per Week
Makes you wonder why you're having to worry about washing your car or RV once in a while.
A good guess would either be an arm off Lake Oroville or even one off Shasta Lake.
Good for not resorting to name calling, yes that picture is validating how low the water actually is.. A simple google of Lake Oroville, Shasta Lake or any number of Lakes up here in Northern ca. (and by Northeren Ca means NORTH OF SACRAMENTO )
Any number of the arms that make up both Shasta and Lake Oroville has a number of old bridges that were just left in tack. There are some whole towns that were deserted when Shasta Dam was built. Old railroad trestles , tunnels that they never thought would ever be be submerged again.
You we're going on now a 5 year drought , so yes many make shift roads have been made...
