Go to a Lake? Here is my near by lake. Down about 300 ft so far. I can't think of a lake or river where we can draw up some water.
Your picture might have some validity if it weren't for the bridge crossing some 40 or 50 feet above the water and all the clearly established roadways. 300'...? Maybe a long long LOOOOOONNNGG time ago.
You people in California have it rough. I won't resort to name calling, but I just can't fathom having to live there in such oppression (compared to the rest of the country). The illegal immigrant issue is another story, but we won't go there.
Then you read a story like this:
LA Leaders Wash Car 2-3 Times Per Week
Makes you wonder why you're having to worry about washing your car or RV once in a while.
That bridge is normally underwater. This is very common along several large rivers in the West. Water rights/usage/ownership is something that is just plain foreign to an Easterner. In a lot of places in the West, you don't really have any rights to the water that falls on your roof.
Water conservation is something we should seriously worry about in times of drought. Building more reservoirs is something we should do period. But we won't. Because we're heading into a period of solar activity called a grand minimum. Winters will be has and summers mild starting this February(ish).
To answer the OP's question, I don't wash my TT or my trucks more tHan once every 18 months. Never cared to much.
