waste totes

I just bought the 42 gal Barker waste tote and now I have realized that height of the tank is much greater than I thought. I guess I figured I would have enough room between the 5th wheel hitch and tailgate to put it back there after I hook up but the height is too much. So for those of you who have these totes, where or how do you store them when traveling cross country?
Thanks,
Bill

Exactly The 42 gallon tote is large enough to contain the entire contents of my 40 gallon gray tank!

I carry my Tote on the rear ladder as mentioned above

  • I've seen them hanging from ladders, in side compartments, in truck bed forward of hitch, strapped on carriers on rear hitch receivers.

Guess you haven't used it yet........42 gallons Yikes! that's 350# plus the weight of tote.
Difficult to drag down to dump station.

Had a 25 gallon.....used it once. Had to drag it 80 yards to dump. What a PITA!

Never used it again......can go at least 7 days before having to dump.
  • I modified a old bike rack to go on the ladder of my class A. It holds my 42 gal barker with no problem. Have seen several 5vers with them mounted on the ladder.
  • Does it fit between the hitch and front of the box?

I have not used mine for a few years, but I seem to remember it fit in front of the hitch. And it is a 42 gallon blue boy.
