- Ron3rdExplorer IIIBarker and Thetford are 2 good brands. I have an 8 year old 32 gal Barker that is a lifesaver from time to time. Both work fine.
- PipemanExplorerI have a 35 gallon Thetford. I can leave it in the back of the TV and pump into it with a macerator pump. I got a coupling for it so I can attach a length of longer hose and dump without spilling.
- C7XR7ExplorerWe ended up purchasing a Thetford 35 gal. off of Craigslist while on a trip in AZ. $65 for a near new tank. These things are kind of spendy. It works great. It would be nice if they came with the pneumatic tires but we don't use it enough to worry about changing them or looking at a different tank.
- DutchmenSportExplorerBarker. I've had this one for over 10 years. Replaced the wheels once, and it's been towed a few hundred miles, I'm sure, between campsite and dump station. This one is 32 gallon, the 4 wheels makes it easy to move around, and weight is no issue.
You want the biggest tote you can find. If possible, find one that is bigger than your biggest holding tank. That way, you never run the risk of over filling it.
Here's ours: more than 10 years old and still going strong! - Jayco254ExplorerI've got a 25 gal Barker Blue and even laying it on it's side you can't empty it. Speaking of towing it mine came off the hitch one time and if it hadn't of caught on the sway ball it would have run down hill into a bunch of tenters. So now I use a farm type of hookup on it don't remember what it's called but it's a loop that goes through the handle and is pinned into an eye that goes into the hitch.
- HvyhaulerExplorerI have the Barker 42 gallon Supertank/4 wheel model.I replaced the rear hard plastic wheels with wider pneumatic tire/wheel assemblies & also replaced the front hard plastic wheels with lawnmower type metal wheels with lubeable bearings.
I dualled the front wheels/2 on each side and made a new front axle out of a 1/2 x 10 inch bolt.Filled to capacity the tank holds 348.6 lbs of water plus the weight of the tank.I can easily pull it by hand with the wheel modifications and its very quiet as it rolls through the campground.
The handle is also removeable and the tank can be pulled by your TV if going a long way to the dump station.I use it for gray water only. - BTPO1Explorer

We have Thetford Smart Tote 18 gal. I would buy the Barker if doing again. It's almost impossible to completely empty our Thetford.
X2, I have also have the 18 gallon tote and have had to replace the attached drain hose due to the hose rubbing on the bottom. This was done after only a few uses. The original hose was very thin. I also get spillage if I fill it too full, luckily I only use it for grey water.
I had the 25 gallon blue tote before and it leaked at the screws on the bottom. I guess that I don't have good luck with these tanks. JMO - HalmfamilyExplorerWe use a 27 gallon Thetford. Works great but as said before impossible to completely empty. Just remember the bigger the capacity the heavier these get and the harder they are to move around.

- Dog_FolksExplorerBarker Blue Boy is the favorite.
Had ours nine years with no problems.
