Water Filter

I am debating on getting a water filter for my travel trailer. The kind that you hook up to the hose outside of your camper. Does anyone have one and do they really work? Just wondering if its worth it or not to get it.
  • They don't reduce presure but they can reduce flow this is why you buy one made for 3/4" pipe.
  • They do reduce the water pressure. We bought our whole house Culligan filter housing from Amazon $15 & installed hose fittings for $10. You can buy the same filter housing. at Walmart or RV supply for $50. BTW Amazon sells 5 micron or charcol filters for couple bucks each. JMHO.
  • How long do the filters usually last? And does it reduce your water pressure?
  • Filters are available for all kinds of pproblems. Get the one that takes care of the problem you have. We use the type with two canisters and filters for particals and taste.. Check with a good RV supply for what you need.
  • We use a large whole house filter from a big box store. A little pricy but last so much longer and definitely worth it. :)
  • I have the Camco inline filter and yes, they do catch crud and impurities! Worth it in my opinion!
