These days they sell a lot of reverse osmosis water systems and large filter systems and rural Folks enjoy better health for the most part.
A good filter list what contamninents, including chlorine, sediment, chemicals, iron, sulfur, and micro organisms it will filter out.
And a good filter clogs up quicker so you need larger ones and replacement cartridges.
Wife is from the area is how I came to know much of this.
With my park model, I have two filters, 20 micron and 5 micron is series and then it runs through a softener. We drink RO water.
