Water leak

Question

When I turn on my water heater, water starts to leak out from the base of my toilet. Weird. Pump is on by not pumping up to hold pressure. Any ideas? Is there a hot water line that would run under there to the shower?. The water heater is on the other side of the trailer.

Sounds like the toilet valve or connecting fitting to the piping is leaking.  When the water heater is on with no faucets open, the air and water in the heater expands and increases pressure in the system, making the leak large enough to be noticeable.

Yes I could the fitting that screws on the toilet is where it is coming from. I will tighten it and see. thanks again, you saved me lots of money. I thought I was going to have to have the toilet removed to see. silly thought
