Who cares? Certainly not the OP or me. I have an Andersen hitch and know how to use it. He doesn't. If the OP or anyone else is interested in the Andersen hitch, which I doubt, there are a couple hundred pages devoted to it and all the calculations and theories involved therein. Chevrolet does not mandate the use of a weight distributing hitch for the OP's trailer with the Silverado 2500HD. I suspect the Dodge is similar in capacity.
