We are brand new to "Motorhoming"

We currently have a 1997 Plymouth Breeze & are wondering if there's any way we can tow this vehicle.....or if we need to buy something else. Trying to keep it as inexpensive as we can.....but safe of course!!

Thanks for any suggestions!!!

What does your user's manual say?
  • I don't see your particular vehicle listed on there site. You could call them direct to get an answer to your towing needs though.
    1 (800) 228-2481.
  • Try Remco to see what you need to tow. I have a Remco driveshaft disconnect. Works great.

This is not true. At least, not without major modifications, like driveshaft disconnects or transmission lube pumps.

Some standards are towable, but it is a major stretch to say "most" are.
  • Check with Remcotowing.com for the availability of a transmission pump, or if it is even needed. A towdolly is always an option, I used one for 25 years of enjoyment, we now tow flat, but that's because of my back and knees.
  • Is the Plymouth Breeze an automatic or a standard.
If it is an automatic and a front wheel drive you can use a tow dolly.
If it is an automatic and you want to tow four wheels down you could have a transmission pump installed.

Pretty much any standard is towable but few automatics.

We have a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire automatic that is towable four wheels down.

So, transmission pump or dolly is the Plymouth is front wheel drive and automatic
