Weber Q adapter question

I have been looking at upgrading my outside grill. Our Keystone came with an Aussie that is a nice little grill with a swing away mount on the rear bumper. It has a gas supply under the TT to a quick connect on the grill. Problem is it just doesn't get or stay hot enough. I have heard wonderful things about the Weber Q but I am wondering about the adapter. Has anyone made an adapter hose to use a quick connect?

  • If the second regulator is not the issue I used my old QD fitting off the old unit, removed the regulator on the new Weber Q and used the old QD fitting.

But do check first for the regulator at the BBQ, if you can remove it and then you are king, other wise fittings can be found at hardware stores and be sure to find the brass ones for LP gas not for compressed air.
  • Most likely you supply is on the low pressure side of the tank regulator and you are using a regulator at the grill too. You can purchase parts to provide a supply without the second regulator.
