jerem0621,
What doesn't look like your last 2 pics is the concrete jungle, jammed roads, crime pits, and very high prices and costs for everything South Florida has become today. We aren't remotely cheap but refuse to be ripped off every day and not even get a smile with it!
We are in the last of the REAL Florida like it was where the people are genuine, honest, very nice to you, and want nothing to do with becoming a crammed together zoo like South Florida! That's why we come down to this area for a couple months each winter asMy wife is disabled and can't chance falling as much as possible. Do what you gotta do!
Indeed! When I was a child in Florida we went to the swamp, played between the cyprus trees, Grandpa always carried his trusty rifle in case of critter problems.... It was a single shot 22 lr... and man could he shoot!
Real Florida is my childhood home. It was in a little fishing village called Hudson. Now, if you go to Hudson the only thing telling you that you have changed towns is the sign... seems like one huge town from Bradenton to Springhill.
I love Florida, but the one you talked about...
Thanks!
Jeremiah
