I have also asked for my money back with wet wood,, Very frustrating!! Had the camp host selling fire wood (pricey), tried to get it to burn but it took forever, didn't use all of it, When he made his rounds the next morning I flagged him down, he looked in my fire pit and the left over wood and said he could not refund me because I did burn some of it!!
Next time we were camped there I brought a bunch of construction debris and had a couple of large hot fires, one morning he stops by as I am splitting the wood that I brought and he begins the lecture on not burning local wood and that I should only burn wood from that area,,, I kindly reminded him of my last trip and what HE could not do for me,,Told him I still had some of the wood from the last at home and would probly bring it back next year!!
That didn't satisfy him,, he brought by a news paper clipping from that area about bringing wood from somewhere else in,, Ok,, Thanks! Still would not buy wood from him again,, and until it is posted I will continue to bring my own DRY Wood!!
