mid January. going to Georgia. first time Snow Bird.camper is already there.Wife's job ends Jan 03... company moving to Mexico.

Heading to Waycross, GA. to visit young'uns. Can't wait to see 4 yr old grand daughter open presents!

New Year's Eve is the time to be at home and off the streets before dark. Too many amateur drunks on the road. When I was a bartender, I always volunteered to work. Safer to be on that side of the bar, and by the time I got to go home, all the drunks were off the road. Home, ditch or jail. For Christmas, I'll try to hide, but it usually doesn't work. I'm lifetime single, and no living relatives. One of the Moms I know will insist, and I hate intruding on a family holiday. This week, I'll buy myself a nice present and have it gift wrapped. At my age, three weeks from now I can open it and be surprised.

We'll be at my niece's house Christmas Eve, at home Christmas Day then going to my daughter's house after that for a few days--unless we have another blizzard then we'll be staying home. The weather is just too rough to want to travel and we'd really rather be with family over the holidays than anywhere else. We'll bug out next summer for an extended trip.

New Years eve, we'll be on the beach at St. Augustine to watch the great fireworks show there, for the fourth time. Planned the beginning of our winter travels to be at Anastasia State Park just for that purpose. Missed last year due to DW's breast cancer scare, but with good news from the Dr. this week we're headed south (from Maine) real soon!

We will be enjoying our 9th Christmas in Florida. The plan was to leave Ohio in a few days to head south but the forecast is for freezing rain and snow starting Friday. So we will continue to watch the weather and maybe delay our departure. Better safe than sorry!

Stuck here in California...perhaps some skiing and definitly some golf. Our daughter sined up with Girl Scouts to spend the night New Years eve decoration the Girl Scout Rose Parade float.

Currently snowbirding by the beach, will fly north for Christmas, then back on New Years. We'll either fall asleep to the ball dropping, or maybe go out with friends, too soon to know. Either way we'll be in the 5'ver falling asleep to the waves that evening.

funny you should ask. so many of our friends go south around the 1st of November and then fly home for the holidays, we do just the opposite, we stay home until the holidays are over than we plan on heading south, we just have to hope for good travel weather.

Will be in St Augustine, FL for Christmas at Stagecoach RV Park. Back home by New Year's Eve.

We have gone to Tropical Palms in Kissimmee, FL for about the last 5-6 years.
This year decided to do something different.
