- DevocamperExplorerEverything stays but food, and we empty the refrigerator, everything else stays in there and is for the rv we don't use any of it at home, everything from pots and pans too pillows to most of the camping cloths stay in there all year
- Nicholsfamily05ExplorerWe leave everything we can.
Ours is stored right next to our house, plugged in and ready.
We always have the beds ready to go and some clothing.
Fridge and freezer empty and off but for the most part we keep it
stocked and ready to except for say bread, chips, and other small items
Ours sits in the shade and temps rarely get high and it's always comfortable
inside the unit. - dcmac214ExplorerIn addition to no food whatsoever as others replied, we also remove everything else the furry vermin might get into like soap, tooth paste, anything remotely "edible". Human non-edibles probably wouldn't be a problem in warmer months but we learned our lesson our first winter.
- StefoniusExplorerWe leave no food, nothing that is sensitive to temperature extremes (medicine cabinet stuff mostly), and over the winter we remove anything liquid (dish soap, bottled water, cleaning supplies).
Otherwise, we stay fully packed. Linens, clothes, household goods, etc. DW relished the opportunity to furnish a second house. - icanonExplorerI leave everything except for food, wife and kids and any valuables that thieves maybe interested in.
- jjjandrbakerExplorerThe only thing I take out his dirty laundry. I don't have much perishable food in the camper. When I do it's used. I camp all year round. The trailer is ready to go within a moments notice.
Now that I have a portable ice maker, I don't even need to stop for ice. - 3oaksExplorerWe leave everything in accept for food items and seasonal clothing that will not be used on the next trip depending upon the time of the year. We have a set of appliances, utensils, etc. specifically for the TT and stay in the trailer. Always ready to go and never forgotten.
- imgoin4itExplorerWe leave everything except; computer equipment, food, cell phones and satallite receiver. I leave a good selection of tools in the motor home which is plugged in at the house so I can get them anytime I need. Some odd things we have and leave in the coach are good clothes and winter coats packed in a small suit case. Needed them one time as we had to park the motor home and fly to a funeral.
- the_bear_IIExplorerOur RV is always ready to go whether it's stored for a week or months. The only thing we add are clothes and food when we take off.
Since we live in earthquake country, Non-perishable foods stay in the RV as emergency supplies. We have always considered the RV as our survival shelter in case the need arises. The storage lot is within walking distance from our house. - Community AlumniWe do this all the time especially when we come home but leave the rv down south for a couple months. The only thing we have ever removed was perishable food. Everything else stays including cereal, soups and whatever products with shelf lives beyond our return. Never had an issue doing this at least the last 15 years that I can remember.
