- Ski_Pro_3ExplorerYou might try mixing up some RIT dye and staining it back to match.
- loggenrockExplorerWell...if it IS a stain...have you tried a Magic Eraser? I've had pretty impressive results getting a variety of stains off countertops, awnings, end caps, etc. Can't hurt... ST

That's what I'm thinking too. Years ago something like this happened at a friends house, the gal put an extremely hot dish of something or other right on her dining table. After clearing the table later she had a huge "white" stain right where the dish sat. They ended up having the table top refinished. :(
Dan - miloExplorer IIRust Oleum Counter top transformation and redo the whole counter top.
- JbrowlandExplorerI have used the paint surface applications from Home Depot for laminate counter tops. It works well and is durable if done properly. That said, they are designed to do the entire counter top typically for a perfect finish and not generally spot applications. You will likely see the "new" spot if you look closely but it does the trick for the most part. Good luck. I can't remember the name of the product I used but there are a few depending on the color and style of counter you have.
- DrewEExplorer IIWhat are the counters made from? If they're laminate, I would guess that you're out of luck. Solid surface of some sort may be more amenable to repair, though if the damage is deep enough, you may end up with a low spot in the counter surface.
I believe Home Depot/Lowes types of places sell some sort of paint-on or spray-on countertop refinishing product. I've no idea how well they work, but it might be worth a try rather than replacing the counter. Of course, there's always the option of living with the discoloration, or hiding it under a chopping block, or something along those lines. - skipncharExplorerIt's probably not a stain at all but the color was destroyed by the hot grease.
